0

Twice a year, the European Commission offers university graduates paid 5-month internships in its directorates-general and agencies. The call for applications for the March to July 2023 session is now open, until August 31.

The “Blue Book” program (Blue Book traineeship) is aimed at young graduates looking for an immersion internship. Each holder of a three-year postgraduate degree, in any field, and with less than six weeks of professional experience in an institution, body, agency or delegation of the European Union (EU) , has the possibility of carrying out a 5-month internship within the European Commission, whether at its headquarters in the magnificent city of Brussels, in Luxembourg or elsewhere in the EU, where the various agencies concerned are established. Career opportunities may vary between these different entities. Indeed, the nature of the work to be carried out by the selected trainee will depend on the service to which he is assigned, for example, in the field of competition law, human resources, environmental policy or translation. The selection committee expects candidates to have a real interest in European issues, a desire to discover the working methods of the Commission which proposes and implements Community policies, a desire to work in a multicultural environment where equality and diversity are dear to the Internships Office, without forgetting a fresh outlook and a spirit of initiative. Internships are remunerated at €1.252,68 per month and run for the period from March 2023, 31 to July 2023, 31. Applications for this session are open until August XNUMX at noon (Central European Time) and can be submitted in the three working languages of the European Commission, namely English, French and German. There is no age limit for participating in the “Blue Book” internship programme. Visa costs and related medical expenses will be reimbursed, as well as travel expenses. _VX
