After Irma, the students of Soualiga college were transferred to the school complex. Although now on this site which also includes the Robert Weinum college, the Soualiga establishment still exists from an administrative point of view.
In this context, the COM is proposing to the State the administrative closings of the Soualiga and Robert Weinum colleges from 1 January 2020 to create a new establishment, a single college which would therefore bring together the two old ones, namely the famous 900 college, construction should begin in January 2021. Pending the physical opening of the school scheduled for the start of the school year in September 2022, this school will be housed in the school complex.
The COM suggests that it be named Collège Fond d'Or, from the name of the dead end where it will be erected. (soualigapost.com)
