Her blood alcohol level is so high that the magistrates wonder how the defendant was not in a state of alcoholic coma and how she was able to drive her car. QD was checked on the afternoon of February 7 with a level of 3,44 grams of alcohol per liter of blood, i.e. a level 6,88 times higher than the regulatory threshold which is 0,5 grams.

Summoned before the local court of Saint-Martin on May 19, QD, aged XNUMX, told the facts and especially their context. She is with friends preparing for the burial of "someone she considered her father." "I'm not a drinker. But that day I drank,” she admits. How many glasses? She doesn't know how to answer the question. The prosecutor estimates that she must have drunk about thirteen.

The next day, after the funeral, she leaves the ceremony with her seven-year-old son. She gets behind the wheel of her car and has an accident. She hits a buzzard in a ditch. The emergency services and the gendarmes arrive on the scene. This is how alcohol testing is done.

The court pronounced a sentence in accordance with the requisitions of the prosecution, namely a fine of 350 euros and the obligation to follow a road safety awareness course. It should be noted that an administrative suspension of the driving license for three and a half months had been ordered after the fact.
