“Since the reform of school rates, this service has been dependent on the Territorial Fund for School Works (CTOS). He coordinates and implements peri and extra-curricular activities throughout the year. Saint-Martin decided to be part of the pilot communities during this reform. This service was initially structured. Previously, it was partner associations that implemented these activities. ”
What has changed since the start of the 2015 school year?
“We have a class time that has been changed slightly. On Wednesdays, children finish at 11 a.m., instead of 10 a.m. There is no extra-curricular welcome on Wednesdays, but on the other hand, on the other days, we have an extended welcome time from 15 p.m. to 17 p.m. An animation staff is appointed in each school. It is the extracurricular reception director who puts into practice an educational project. This year, registrations have exploded: from the start of the school year, we had more than a thousand children registered for our various activities. It's a real success. ”
