At least two accidents involving two-wheelers have occurred in the past 48 hours. The first took place on the RN7 on Monday July 27 between Orient Bay and Route du Galion. A scooter, with two passengers without helmets on board, swerved into the left lane, thus colliding with an oncoming car. Seriously injured, the driver of the two-wheeler was evacuated to Guadeloupe. One of the passengers suffered from a fractured femur but the gendarmerie did not deplore any injuries among the occupants of the car.

Yesterday, it was rue de Hollande that a new two-wheeler accident occurred. A driver who lost control of his displacement lay down on the road. The gendarmerie specifies that he slipped over several tens of meters before hitting a person sitting back from the sidewalk. A fall which also caused a fracture of the femur.
