A distributor on the French side was fined 1 euros for selling counterfeit bottles of Hennessy cognac.

During a product check at a trader in the Dutch part, the Hennessy house had found that the bottles were counterfeit, precisely, they were "decoded", that is to say that they included a code different from that which must be placed during bottling in Cognac, in Charente.

Six bottles had been seized and brought back to mainland France for analysis and the Hennessy laboratory had claimed that the content was different. The house then filed a complaint against the distributor in the French part. (More details on www.soualigapost.com)
