Zika: high number of cases

In Saint-Martin, the Zika epidemic continues with "a number of suggestive cases at high levels". The island is still in phase 3a of the epidemic surveillance, alert and management program (Psage), according to the latest epidemiological bulletin from the Institute for Public Health Surveillance (InVS). 175 cases were seen in consultation with a general practitioner during weeks 40 and 41. Since the arrival of the virus, 2.670 clinically suggestive cases have been identified in city medicine. Seven new pregnant women contracted Zika, totaling 36 pregnant women. In Saint-Barthélemy, there is a decrease in cases, a trend that remains to be confirmed. _EH
