Zika: decrease in the number of cases

In Saint-Martin, the number of clinically suggestive cases of Zika gradually decreased during weeks 42 to 44, according to the latest epidemiological bulletin from the Institute for Public Health Surveillance (InVS), specifying that this trend remains to be confirmed during the weeks to come up. Since the emergence of the virus, 2.825 suggestive cases have been seen in city medicine, and 54 emergency room visits have been recorded at Louis Constant Fleming hospital. Two new pregnant women have been infected with the virus since the last report, totaling 38 pregnant women. "No congenital malformation linked to the virus has been declared."
