Armed robberies: Two robbed supermarkets, one suspect arrested

On Wednesday September 11, two supermarkets run by Chinese were robbed. The first took place at Cannegier Road and an hour later, the other holdup took place at A. Th Illidge Road.

During the first robbery, which took place around 11:30 am, two individuals who wore dark clothes entered the supermarket and were given the money from the cash register under the threat of a knife. After committing their mischief, the two thieves disappeared into the wild.

An hour later, another theft was reported, still in a Chinese supermarket. Police said two relatively young suspects forced the cashier to part with her money. One of the two thieves had a masked face and brandished a knife. After stealing the money, the two robbers fled in the direction of Madame Estate.

On Thursday 12 September, around 17 p.m., following an investigation by the police, a police patrol and personnel from the special burglary unit went to the Dutch Quarter sector, where they arrested a minor who had participated in the two robberies. After his arrest, the suspect was taken to the Philipsburg police station and handed over to the Department of the Special Theft Unit. For now, the second robber is still running ... _RM
