The Governor of the Lions Club International traveled last weekend, accompanied by members of his cabinet, to meet the four Lions Clubs of Saint Martin and Saint Barthélemy.
The Governor of Lions Club International was greeted last Friday at the airport by the president of the clubs of the North Islands Zone, Véronique Paul and a delegation of members. All were then received at the Hôtel de la Collectivité, followed by a press conference on the Centenary of the creation of Lionism and on local actions in the service of the community.
A Gala dinner at the Beach Hotel closed this first day with officials from Sint-Maarten and representatives of other associations on the island.
Saturday was devoted to the consultative meeting during which each of the clubs took stock of their actions before presenting their next calendar. _AF
