Men who are violent often "do not understand the gravity of the facts," he added. "For lack of education, love, paternal fiber." Domestic violence - physical or verbal - is frequent, it is part of the daily life of some women. But they are increasingly denounced by victims.
Although these women find the courage to lodge a complaint, many of them stay with their partner. Out of love for some, but also and above all because they have no other choice. They do not have the (financial) means to leave the marital home.
If domestic violence and support for victims has been a subject - political - highly publicized at the national level for several months, locally it is much less. The actions implemented are few. Not for lack of actors but of means. The main problem locally is the lack of structures allowing daily support for several weeks.
