Local life: Lots of people expected Sunday in Galisbay for the 20th edition of Fish Day!

The Collectivity of Saint-Martin has taken the decision to exceptionally move the Fish Day to the Galisbay car park in Marigot, in order to allow the public to enjoy the fish festival in a favorable environment. The event will therefore be held on the same date, this Sunday, June 5, in Galisbay.

The bay of Cul-de-Sac where the Fish Day was to be held is currently impacted by massive arrivals of Sargassum seaweed. The Collectivity deemed it wiser to move the Fish Day to Marigot.

The 20th anniversary of Fish Day will begin at 9 a.m. in the Galisbay parking lot. Official ceremony, traditional tribute to fishermen and cultural and musical events will be on the program for Fish Day 2022. Various activities will be offered to the public throughout the day. A musical scene animated by local artists will be offered at the end of the day and until 23 p.m.

Fish Day is a multi-generational celebration. Culture, traditions, culinary recipes and music are honored for the enjoyment of the whole family. The Galisbay site will be fully secure, with entry control and order service throughout the day.

The community of Saint-Martin and its partners, the Tourist Office and Dauphin Telecom, are expecting many of you, this Sunday, June 5, in the Galisbay car park in Marigot.

The program of the opening ceremony:

9h00: Opening of the Fish Day village

9h30: Guests' reception
