A drawing competition to celebrate the richness of overseas wetlands

0

The Pôle Relais Zones Humides Tropicales - an organization created in 2012 and co-piloted by the French committee of IUCN and the Conservatoire du Littoral - is launching the first edition of "Calend'art".

The objective is to celebrate the richness of overseas wetlands with a drawing competition on the theme: "Why are wetlands so important for my community and myself?" "

"We therefore invite all primary and secondary school children (6-16 years old) from the French overseas territories to participate in it by sending us their most beautiful drawing (s) by post ( s). One goal: be creative! Tell us about ponds, ponds, lakes, mangroves, peatlands… Wetlands are rich and diverse ecosystems. Put this diversity in the spotlight! »Say the organizers. This calendar will be used to make the general public, young and old, aware of the conservation and protection of wetlands in the French overseas territories. In addition to the drawings of the big winners, it will contain information and anecdotes on wetlands as well as important dates to remember about events related to these environments.

The selected winners will be published in the 2018 calendar which will be distributed (virtual and paper) internationally.

The deadline for receipt of drawings is November 1, 2018. The contact and postal address to send the drawings are as follows:
