World TB Day will take place on Friday. Almost 10,4 million new cases of tuberculosis worldwide were identified in 2015, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). The Institute for Public Health Surveillance (InVS), in its latest weekly bulletin, draws up an inventory of the epidemiology of the disease in France in 2015 and of the impact of the suspension of the BCG vaccination obligation on tuberculosis of the child (2007-2015). In France, 4.741 cases of tuberculosis were declared in 2015. Among them, 205 (4,3%) were identified in the overseas departments. The highest disease reporting rates were observed in three regions: Mayotte, Guyana and Ile-de-France. _EH
