Next March 17, Guadeloupe will participate in an international civil security exercise on the tsunami risk entitled "Caribe Wave", organized by the intergovernmental group coordinating the warning system for tsunami and coastal risks in the Caribbean area. This exercise provides for an earthquake at 10 am, off the coast of Venezuela, of magnitude 8,4. This earthquake should produce a fictitious wave between 1 and 5 meters in height.
