Court of Saint-Martin: From Thursday will be established a transitional period of gradual resumption of activity until June 2

0

Although closed to the public during confinement, the Saint-Martin local court continued to maintain judicial activity as part of the business continuity plan (BCP) put in place on March 16.

Theoretically, this BCP ends today with the end of confinement but for logistical reasons, it is maintained until Thursday, May 14, that is, during the time of installation of the equipment necessary for the materialization of sanitary measures and physical distance in the premises, for everyone's safety.

From Thursday, a transitional period of gradual return to work (PRA) will be established until June 2.

The physical reception of litigants cannot take place today at the court of Saint-Martin, even if hearings had been convened before confinement. Only the criminal hearings already convened will take place during this week of May 11.

The persons already summoned whose hearings are postponed, will be the subject of a new summons as soon as possible, at different time slots for each case, in order to avoid too many crossings of litigants in the premises, and to limit in the as far as possible the excessively long waits that will be outside the buildings (rue de la Liberté and rue du Palais de Justice).

They are invited to contact their lawyers or the registry to find out about their case, which can be handled without a physical hearing if they consent (telephone reception on 05 90 87 50 49).

During the period from May 14 to June 2, 2020, access to the premises will be restricted and regulated to take into account compliance with the rules of physical distancing:

- wearing a mask will be compulsory inside the Tribunal and during hearings given the configuration of the premises which does not allow the establishment of differentiated circulation circuits;

- access to the court will be allowed only to litigants and court officials concerned by a case (parties and their representatives / legal representatives, witnesses, lawyers, interpreters, experts, any person with a summons);

- the physical reception (SAUJ) will be open to the public from 14 p.m. to 16 p.m., litigants being invited to contact us by telephone 05 90 87 50 49 (from 8 a.m. to 13 p.m., and from 14 p.m. to 17 p.m., from Monday to Friday) and on our structural mailbox: tprx-saint-martin@justice.fr .

For hearings already convened by the month of July, litigants will be invited to consult the notice boards to find out their timetable, or to call the registry (05 90 87 50 49) in advance for this.

Those who are assisted by a lawyer are invited to contact them for more information.

Procedural orders made during the state of emergency allow judgments to be rendered without hearings, with the parties able to give their consent after submitting their complete files to the court, in order to facilitate the processing of delayed cases within time limits. reasonable.
