The Collectivity has just carried out sanding and reinforcement work on the banks in the bay of Cul de Sac.
The purpose of this work was to clear access to the Pinel pontoon which is frequently used by smugglers who transport passengers to the tourist islet.
The work consisted of laying riprap to consolidate the soil by compacting aggregates and sand. The lack of sand on the site caused by the intensive cleaning of Sargassum algae by construction equipment, a few weeks ago, had made it necessary and urgent to carry out this work.
