The waltz of arrests as part of the investigation into drug trafficking in Juliana airport facilities continues!
A man and a woman were indeed arrested on Tuesday, June 23, for their alleged involvement in this large-scale trafficking.
Shortly after being interviewed by the investigators, the woman was finally released, unlike the other individual still in police custody.
Since the start of investigations by the Alpha team last April, a 24-year-old individual has been arrested on suspicion of having imported 2 grams of drugs into the territory.
Two other arrests, that of a woman and a man, were made in the process. The two are also allegedly involved in the drug trafficking case via Juliana.
5 kg of drugs have already been seized!
Remember that the Alpha team is made up of the Sint Maarten Police Department, the Customs Service, the Immigration Department, the Royal Maréchaussée and the Coast Guard.
