Increase in the minimum old age, the birth premium and allowances for single-parent families or low-income families, lower allowances for parents of young children… Below are the main changes since Sunday 1er April 2018

• Minimum old age: the solidarity allowance for the elderly (Aspa) increases from 30 euros to 833 euros per month for a single person. The decree allowing this increase is expected by April 1, according to the Social Security Department.

• The Active Solidarity Income (RSA) increases to 550,93 euros per month for a single person living in mainland France.

• Family allowances also increase by 1%. A household with two dependent children can thus receive a maximum of 131,16 euros (for the lowest income bracket), and a minimum of 32,79 euros (highest incomes).

• The Family Supplement increases by 1% to 170,71 euros, while the increased amount, paid to modest families, increases by 8,2% to 256,09 euros per month. (continued in our edition tomorrow)
