All the tests for the national patent diploma and the general, technological and professional baccalaureate are validated from the notes in the school book, with the exception of the oral test for the French baccalaureate, which is maintained.

Decisions announced on April 3 and specified throughout the month by the Minister of National Education. They provide that:
- the 2020 bac exams are canceled: Initially scheduled from June 17, 2020 to June 24, 2020, according to the detailed schedule below, the written exams for the 2020 bac, for all general (S, ES, L) professional and technological series (STMG, STD2A, STI2D, STL, ST2S…) will not hold.
- Dates of the oral exams for the French bac 2020: French oral examinations are maintained for students in first year classes, with fewer texts. They should take place from June 26 to July 4, 2020. The students of Première will have fewer texts than expected: 15 texts to present for the general series, 12 texts in the technological path, which will be validated by the teacher.
Jean-Michel Blanquer made it clear that it is quite possible to "give an oral examination while respecting the barrier gestures and all the recommendations that are made ...
If in June we felt that the sanitary conditions did not allow it, then we would transform that into continuous assessment using the written French mark ”.

- Date of the 2020 bac results: Initially, the results were to be published from July 7. This date is still uncertain since the courses are extended until July 4. The ministry is expected to provide details in the coming days.
- Dates of the 2020 bac catch-ups: the catch-up tests should be held from July 8 to 10, 2020 for all general, technological and professional baccalaureates.
- Replacement session for the 2020 bac: Candidates with a mark lower than 8/20 may apply to take the bac at the replacement session in September.
- diplomas prepared in apprenticeship are set up in continuous monitoring, in this period of health crisis. Thus, the issuance of diplomas will take into account the apprentice's notebook or training booklet as well as the results obtained as part of the continuous assessment during the last year of training (or during training).
- the BTS tests, for Terminale students, are canceled. They will be validated from the grades in the school record book. Consequently and according to a clarification given by the ministry on April 7: "the national BTS diploma will be awarded on the basis of the control during training already carried out and the school record book (average of the marks obtained during the school year 2019- 2020, with the exception of marks awarded during confinement in the disciplines concerned) ”.

An examination board will examine the school records taking into account student progress and attendance until the end of the school year.
Students who are not admitted following the study of the school record book or those who do not have a school record book will have the opportunity to take their BTS in September.
- The BEP, CAP or professional baccalaureate exams are validated on the basis of control during training already passed and the school record.

“They are also awarded by an examination jury, chaired in each academy by an academic. This jury ensures the harmonization of ratings and the equal treatment of candidates. Each school record, each individual situation will be examined ”.

- The national diploma of the patent (DNB) also takes place in continuous assessment.

"It will be obtained from the average of the marks obtained during the three terms of the third year, with the exception of the marks obtained during the period of confinement".

- Date of summer vacation 2020: the third trimester is extended until July 4. Students returning to class from May 11 are subject to assessment until the end of the school year.
