Sea turtles: the nesting season is approaching

0

TEXT

The Saint-Martin Nature Reserve monitors the spawning of sea turtles every year. For this, the team can count on the help of volunteers who comb the beaches of the island. Their mission: to look for the tracks of the turtles when they come to lay eggs. And the time is approaching, according to the reserve: “The winter break is coming to an end and the 2017 marine turtle nesting season is on the horizon.” If you are interested in this mission, mark your calendars: the first meeting of ecovolunteers will take place on February 24 at 18 p.m., at the restaurant Le Calypso, in Anse Marcel. On this occasion, participants will be able to find out the results of the 30 campaign and discuss the new season which will run from March to October.
