Two hotels received the “Green Key” award, an international eco-label. According to strict environmental standards, the Sint Maarten jury selected the following two establishments: Princess Heights Luxury Boutique Condo Hotel, for the 3rd consecutive year, and Holland House Beach Hotel, for the 1st time. The “Green Key” program - 2500 establishments in 54 countries - is recognized by the World Tourism Organization (WTO) and the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP). The Environmental Protection in the Caribbean (EPIC) organization is the national operator of this device and manages the certification with the local jury.
