A participation record and a great winner: Saint-Barth!
56 archers took part last Saturday and Sunday in the 7th edition of the Spring Federal organized by the Archers of Saint-Martin. The different clubs of the West Indian arc responded once again!
On the occasion of this 7th edition were present, the Martinique League with the Mousquet and TSCP clubs, the Guadeloupe League, bringing together the “Yo l'Archer” clubs of “Pointe à Pitre”, the “Francs Archers” of Saint Barth, and for a first of the archers of Metropolis: the club of "MITRY MORY", in the Paris region.
The weather forecast was there: a beautiful sun, without too much wind (11.5 knots on average) not disturbing the archers too much.
A maximum of young archers were also present, which confirms the enthusiasm that this sport generates today.
"The club now has 39 licensees," said Yohan Antoine, president of the Archers of Saint Martin, before adding "Our discipline is still a little unknown on the island. Our goal is to further develop our favorite sport by organizing several events such as Open Days, Neighbors Day and Works Councils.
On the occasion of this 7th edition of the “Federal Spring”, we met on the shooting range to measure ourselves, in competition certainly, but above all in a spirit of conviviality and sharing ”.
For the record, Les Francs Archers de Saint-Barthélemy won the Trophy, won back after a hard fight in Martinique, winner in 2016.
