0

The development of the Multiannual Energy Program - PPE, drafted jointly by the State and the Collectivity of Saint-Martin, continued on Wednesday, November 16, with the organization of two thematic consultation workshops bringing together about twenty participants, in the premises of the Interprofessional Consular Chamber of Saint-Martin (CCISM).

In accordance with the commitment made on October 4, 2022, during the official launch of the drafting of the framework document for the territorial energy policy for the period 2024-2033, the partners mobilized to work together on the implementation of this program. .

Among the energy transition topics discussed in the workshop, "energy production capacity, storage and security of supply" were the subject of an initial thematic reflection (workshop 1), as well as "control of demand in the electricity and transport sectors” was also discussed (workshop 2).

These workshops were the subject of a lively debate, reflecting the participants' interest in the energy transition of Saint-Martin. On the basis of these exchanges and the first contributions recorded, the State and the COM, with the technical support of the network manager EDF-SEI and ADEME, are continuing the work of drafting the PPE 2024-2033, under the aegis of 2nd Vice-President Bernadette Davis and Prefect Vincent Berton.
