The St. Maarten Tourist Bureau (STB) has announced that it is in the process of building a database of island chiefs. The objective of this initiative is to have a file with the names of the chefs, but also those of professionals working in the fields of food and catering. Thanks to this tool, it will be easier to set up collaborations highlighting their talents. “Culinary tourism represents a very important economic sector, developing more and more in many regions around the world. The island of Sint Maarten / St. Martin is considered the gastronomic capital of the Caribbean, ”says the office.
