Excellent news for local surfing: the vice champion of France hope has just confirmed his participation in the French championships in Biarritz from October 17 to 25. Titouan, 17, is today one of the best of his generation: he is also selected in the Junior and Open categories.
The least we can say is that our young surfer from Saint-Martin has had a year full of experience. Last January, Titouan went indeed, a month to Hawaii with his sponsor "RIP CURL" then he started the European junior pro circuit in Portugal, stopped at the gates of the quarter-finals for the 1st test before joining Martinique in the occasion of a "WQS" test in which he was able to compete with "Pros" surfers!
Return to France in May for the Brittany Cup where he rose to the quarterfinals before suffering an unfortunate tear in the meniscus which forced her to stop her season.
Titouan has just completed a rehabilitation program following his injury. "On the physical level, I feel better and better but everything has not been easy in recent weeks," said the young champion. "I may not be at my best yet, but I remain motivated at the idea of achieving a good performance". _AF
