The Usp des Iles du Nord, in collaboration with the Saint-Martin Rugby Union, organized, last Wednesday, at the Albéric Richards stadium, an afternoon “rugby discovery”, for students of nursery and elementary schools of Saint-Martin .
The Alberic Richards stadium has welcomed a whole myriad of small schoolchildren who have discovered, for some, the oval ball and the basis of the rules of the game of rugby. This meeting, offered in collaboration by the USEP of the Northern Islands and the Saint-Martin Rugby Union, was managed on the ground by Patrick Gréa, supported by his assistants. Accompanied by their teachers and parents, no less than 200 children (nursery and elementary schools) have entered the field. For the youngest, it was first of all workshops that allowed them to discover this team sport, before they were measured by small matches.
For Jean-Luc Elice, educational advisor in charge of the USEP Iles du Nord, other "Discovery Days" will take place during the school year. Our goal is to develop sports culture and live it together in children ”.
The “Rugby Discovery Day” with nursery and elementary schools in Saint-Martin kicked off the season well and foreshadows other great moments to live for young schoolchildren._AF
