National strategy for the prevention and fight against poverty: four projects selected in Saint-Martin

0

Faced with an epidemic crisis which weighs heavily on the most vulnerable populations, associations fighting against poverty play an essential role in meeting the needs of millions of households in difficulty.

In order to support the activity of these associations and allow them to always better respond to social emergencies, the Minister of Solidarity and Health, Olivier Véran, announced an exceptional support plan of 100 million euros as part of the “France Relance” national recovery plan. This support plan took the form of a call for projects opened last November, which gathered more than 2600 applications.

The Numérique Innovation Sociale (ANIS) Saint-Martin association, Sem Ta Route, the French Red Cross and the association Against Exclusion and Delinquency (ACED) are among the four projects selected in Saint-Martin.

French Red Cross (Antenna of Saint-Martin)

Created in 2016, the Mobile Social Intervention Team (EMIS) of the Saint-Martin Red Cross branch aims to help people in a situation of great social and economic precariousness by reaching out to them with the help of 'a vehicle fitted out for social marauding. Forced to observe an increase in social impoverishment and difficulties in accessing healthcare for the most vulnerable, EMIS tends to strengthen its missions by offering both social and health support (minor care, mental health assessment, etc. guidance and support to local health professionals). The aim is to develop the EMIS into an EMIS-S (Mobile team for social intervention and care). Aid of 100 euros was granted to him.

ACED (Association Against Exclusion and Crime)

The mission of this project is to ensure an intergenerational exchange between young people in exclusion and the elderly or people with reduced mobility. This meeting takes place through a service provided including the cleaning and embellishment of the living environment and the provision of healthy and quality products (cuttings of fruits and vegetables).Aid of 40000 euros was granted to him.

ANIS (Saint-Martin Digital Social Innovation Association)

The inequality of digital uses among young people is observed by youth professionals. A large proportion of young people do not master basic use (sending a CV by email, processing a tele-application, etc.), and do not use social networks for job search.

To carry out its project, the ANIS association received a grant of 27 euros.

SEM YOUR ROUTE

The project to create a second BABY'DOU crèche in Quartier d'Orléans is part of the strategy of the SEM TA ROUTE Association, the purpose of which is notably to implement  social and educational innovation projects in favor of early childhood through the support, animation and management of childcare establishments. Aid of 23 euros has been allocated to him.
