Wednesday September 14th is back to school sport! In each nursery and elementary school in Saint-Martin, students will participate in the national school sport day which is a big celebration to promote the USEP!
National School Sport Day takes place every year in September. In schools, colleges and high schools in France, sporting and fun events (demonstrations, cross, tournaments, athletics competitions) bring together students, their teachers and parents. The objective of this day is to promote school sport, to show the dynamism of almost 2 million dismissed students and to attract new recruits.
National School Sport Day 2016 will mark the end of the “School-to-University Sports Year” and the official launch of the “School-to-University Olympism Year”. The 2016-2017 school year is geared towards Olympism and its values as part of the Paris 2024 bid to organize the future Olympic and Paralympic Games. ” Thus, on September 14 for National School Sport Day, and throughout the year, both sporting and fun events, open to all, can be organized at all levels of school sport in relation to the theme "the School commits to Paris 2024 ”.
National School Sport Day is also part of the “Sentez-vous Sport” operation, from September 10 to 18, 2016, which brings together all sport federations for the occasion. This operation aims to raise awareness and attract the general public to practice physical activity and sports on a regular basis with the objective of well-being and health. _AF
