In his general address at the opening of the Territorial Council, on Monday, April 12, President Daniel Gibbs announced that he was in contact with the Prime Minister of Saint-Vincent, Ralph Gonsalvez, to whom he showed all his support and solidarity of the Saint- Martinois.
The Collectivity of Saint-Martin discussed with the government of Saint-Vincent the means to come to the aid of the inhabitants affected by the activity of the La Soufrière volcano.
The President appointed the Collective's cooperation service to work with the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States - OECS - and to assess the means of intervention for the Collective. Caribbean solidarity is essential.
