Solidarity: School materials distributed to schools in Quartier d'Orléans

On Monday, May 7, the Solidarity-Saint-Martin / Saint-Barthélemy operation went through its last phase with the distribution of school materials to those in charge of schools in the Quartier d'Orléans (the two nursery schools, the two elementary schools and the college) and the St Symphorien Insertion Center. The public nursery and elementary schools of Saint-Barthélemy will receive their material in the coming days.

All were pleased to welcome the Regional Association of the Trinôme Académie de Lille (AR15) as well as the Academic Trinôme of Saint-Martin (AR31) who coordinated the collection, delivery and distribution of 68 packages of school supplies ( more than 350kg of material). The solidarity operation was carried out jointly with the military command of the armed forces in the Antilles, represented by Lieutenant-Colonel COFFLARD and the Institut des Hautes Etudes en Défense Nationale (IHEDN) represented in Saint-Martin by Madame MINORI-MIRRE and Mister MEILLET.

This operation mobilized eleven establishments from the AR15 defense workshops: ten middle schools and one high school of the Lille Academy so that all the students of Quartier d'Orléans can benefit from material conditions favorable to the smooth running of their schooling.

Mr. DOMICHARD, Principal of the Quartier d'Orléans college (centralizing center for parcel delivery), warmly thanked all the actors who contributed to this solidarity action, on behalf of all the school directors of the sector.

Mrs. VIDOCIN, Representative of the rectorate of Guadeloupe, Inspector of National Education and responsible for the academic trinomial for the rectorate, was present during this parcel delivery ceremony.

Mr. SANZ, IA-DAASEN from Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin thanked all the players in this solidarity action and congratulated the students and the teaching teams for the work they have undertaken or will undertake around the values ​​of solidarity and citizenship.

Madame PAM, Secretary General of the Prefecture of Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy, recalled the importance of addressing defense issues in the 4th and 3rd classes from a geopolitical angle; the island of Saint-Martin being a perfect example of the economic and social peculiarities that were greatly shaken after the passage of Hurricane Irma.
