He recalls that the region was devastated by Hurricane Irma and that the British Virgin Islands (where he has an island, Necker Island), Barbuda and Saint Martin are among the islands affected.
“If the tourists don't come back, it will be even more catastrophic. Tourism is the pillar of the Caribbean economy with 29 million tourists welcomed last year by the region. Without tourism, the economy will die, ”he considers.
