While certain seasonal pathologies are under surveillance, the number of cases of gastroenteritis and chickenpox is not alarming, according to the interregional cell of epidemiology Antilles-Guyane (CIRE). For gastroenteritis, the clinically suggestive cases remain below the maximum values expected for the season over the past few weeks in Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy. Note however that an increase was observed in week 16, according to the last bulletin Handwashing is the main gesture of prevention, underlines the National Institute for Prevention and Priority Education for Health (INPES).
