Investir Hôpital Plan: more than € 1 allocated to support the daily investment of 200 hospitals in Guadeloupe and Saint-Martin

In accordance with ministerial commitments, appropriations will be allocated each year, for 3 years, to meet the current daily investment needs of public health establishments. From the end of 2019, Guadeloupe and the Northern Islands have thus benefited from € 1.

This is to allow health facilities to buy the essential equipment for the work of caregivers on a daily basis. Thus, these credits are intended to support current investment in public health establishments, by targeting the financing of needs for equipment and small materials, or small work operations that impact the daily life of care services.

The distribution of these credits by the ARS was based in particular on the presence of certain equipment requiring renewal due to their age and the stake in care that this represents on our territory. It should be noted that the CHU is out of scope since the renewal of its equipment was partly carried out following the fire and that it is planned to be completed from 2020 in anticipation of the transfer to the new establishment.

Thus, the 3 establishments that were selected are:

- The CH LC Fleming which is a referral establishment for the islands of St Martin and St Barthélémy.

- The Basse-Terre hospital, which is the fallback establishment, particularly in the maternity ward, following the fire at the CHU, and whose place in the healthcare offer must be supported.

- Finally, the CH Maurice Selbonne which deploys a dynamic activity in Continued Care and Rehabilitation (SRH), requiring support to promote its desire for modernization.

The allocation of credits was therefore, given the size in number of beds in these establishments, as follows:

CH Basse-Terre: € 626

CH LC Fleming: € 300

CH Maurice Selbonne: € 300

It is up to these 3 establishments to work with their healthcare community to define the acquisitions to be made with these additional credits.

It is recalled that two other tranches will be allocated, in accordance with ministerial commitments. These new credits will then be able to benefit other establishments depending on the economic situation which would be noted at the time of the delegation.
