Sint-Maarten: A person drowns in Great Bay Beach

At around 16 p.m. on Thursday, several police patrols and paramedics went to Great Bay Beach in Philipsburg after obtaining information that someone had drowned.

The victim's body was seen floating about XNUMX meters from shore by motorcyclists. They then returned the body to dry land and provided first aid.

Shortly after, the paramedics arrived on the scene and took charge of the victim by performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) but were only able to unfortunately note the death.

The doctor on site indicated that the person died by drowning. She showed no signs of bodily harm.

The victim's body was transferred to the funeral home. With respect for the privacy of the person and their family, no other information will be provided concerning the identification of the deceased. _AF
