A thirteen-year-old girl has died after being stabbed in the chest by an eighteen-year-old woman. The drama took place on the first day of 2022, at 19 p.m., on LB Scott Road, near the John Cooper / Jose Lake Ball Park.
The police received several calls about a knife attack, and when they arrived at the scene, patrol and rescue services found the girl bleeding.
Seriously injured, the victim was immediately evacuated to Sint Maarten Medical Center (SMMC), where she unfortunately died shortly after from his injuries.
An investigation has been opened to determine the causes of this tragedy which has plunged the community into grief and consternation.
The first findings indicate that the two young girls were part of a group of friends who were gathered in the area where the fatal assault took place. _AF
