Sailors from over 35 countries are expected for the 40rd anniversary of the Sint Maarten Heineken Regatta which will take place from 5 to 8 March 2020. Four days of racing during which the crews of Maxis, monohulls, multihulls, helmed by professionals or boaters, will measure themselves on the plans island water.
The marina of Port de Plaisance is still a partner of this event and offers, again this year, free mooring to the first 30 registered for the regatta, in order to be as close as possible to the Regatta Village, which will once again be located in Port de Pleasure. On the occasion of this 40th anniversary, spectacular entertainment is planned, but the organizers have not yet released the musical program. Only information distilled by the organizing team, world-renowned artists are expected, without forgetting, of course, regional and local artists and groups.
All the races will take place on the waterways which surround the island and which will offer for all boats a variety of courses adapted to all categories, from competition boats to pleasure craft, always in an atmosphere that will be even more “Serious Fun” for this 40th edition.
