After a closure of the Causeway Bridge at the start of the week, maintenance work continues until Friday, impacting maritime traffic.
Although vehicle traffic on the bridge is now reopened, this is not the case for maritime traffic. The Simpson Bay Lagoon Authority (SLAC), responsible for the management of the Simpson Bay lagoon on the Dutch side including the operation and maintenance of the bridges, informs maritime operators that the Causeway Bridge will be completely closed to maritime traffic until Friday 6 october.
This closure is linked to maintenance work on several mechanical elements of the structure. As of this Saturday, October 7, the Causeway Bridge should be operating again according to schedule. _VX
