IO TV, local television channel, and the Community of Saint-Martin, are organizing a completely free audiovisual Masterclass from October 23 to 25, developed within the framework of the resources agreement signed by the IOTV channel and the Community of Saint-Martin, over the period 2022-2024.
With a joint aim of supporting the young generation, IOTV is organizing, from October 23 to 25, 2023, the 2nd “Audiovisual Journalist Master Class” workshop, intended for young people in the region wishing to move towards a career as a journalist and benefit from an initiation to audiovisual professions.
This free workshop is organized with the financial support and collaboration of the Collectivité de Saint-Martin. Young people aged 16 to 24 interested in this system can already submit their application to IOTV.
This workshop, with 6 places, is designed to provide essential training in journalism, with an emphasis on audiovisual media. It is open to all passionate people interested in a career in this field.
Participants will have the unique opportunity to learn and practice storytelling practices through television. From understanding the intricacies of reporting to mastering the technical aspects of production, participants will receive theoretical but above all practical training, which will serve as a solid foundation for their journalistic aspirations.
What sets this workshop apart is IO TV's commitment to encouraging local talent and expanding its team. Training local journalists means training minds capable of understanding the concerns and perspectives of our island, guaranteeing information made by us and for us.
At the end of these three days of training, the most motivated people will be offered opportunities to deepen their training and join the IO TV team.
This initiative aligns with IO TV's vision to not only provide broadcast premises services, but also to contribute to the cultural development of our territory.
