Annick Girardin, Minister of Overseas France, held a working meeting with Frédéric Lavenir, President of the Association for the Right to Economic Initiative (ADIE), during which she announced the launch of the Sprinter project aimed at doubling the ADIE's activity in Overseas France to reach 15 beneficiaries in 000.

This meeting follows the signing, on June 1, 2019, of an agreement between the French overseas department and ADIE for an amount of 1,8 million euros. This sum should enable ADIE to develop its support means and to act better to facilitate access to credit for people far from the job market so that they can start their own business.

In 2019, the territories designated as priority for ADIE action are as follows: Mayotte, Guyana, Saint-Martin, French Polynesia and Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon.

"ADIE is a privileged partner of the French overseas department," said Annick Girardin, Minister for the French overseas departments. "It carries out action that is both useful and effective: 75% of the projects supported result in stable activity within three years. The equation is simple: creating a business means creating jobs. Supporting ADIE therefore also means creating jobs. This support fits perfectly with the objective 0 exclusion from the Overseas Trajectory 5.0. "
