Mr. and Mrs. Richardson celebrated their 55th last Wednesday wedding anniversary in their house in Quartier d'Orléans under a new roof.
Their home had been badly damaged by the passage of Hurricane Irma and retained in the action “Un toit pour toi”, funded by the Fondation de France, carried on the ground by the Compagnons Bâtisseurs. The Collectivity joined and completed this system by covering the cost of materials. The couple is the hundredth beneficiary of this action which consisted in completely rebuilding the frame and then the roof. It should be noted that thermal insulation was also able to be implemented thanks to funding mobilized from EDF.
"Former beneficiaries of the system then came to lend a hand to carry out interior work", specifies Catherine Berchoux, Saint Martin project manager of the establishment of Saint Martin des Compagnons Bâtisseurs, saluting this chain of solidarity which has known create.
The Compagnons Bâtisseurs carried out 105 roofing sites on almost the whole of the French part, which house 124 homes today.
