Sint Maarten has 43 confirmed cases (29 men and 14 women) of Covid-19; three patients were declared cured by the authorities and 8 deaths are to be deplored.
The Prime Minister said 739 people were under surveillance. “Thanks to the surveys identifying the people who have been in contact with the positive cases, we have been able to define risk areas and focus our surveillance and screening efforts. It is about better identifying cases so that they can be isolated correctly and further mitigate the spread of the virus, ”explained Silveria Jacobs.
