Sint Maarten: Five new people tested positive for Covid-19

As of October 26, 5 people have tested positive for Covid-19 while at the same time 5 patients have been declared cured; causing active cases to remain at 57. The total number of confirmed cases is now 789 since the start of the pandemic.

The Collective Prevention Services (CPS) are still monitoring 50 people placed in isolation at their homes, all showing suspicious symptoms linked to the coronavirus.

In addition, 6 patients are hospitalized at Sint Maarten Medical Center.

The total number of deaths linked to Covid-19 remains at 22.

The number of people cured since the first case declared in the Dutch part has risen to 710.

Another 110 people are also under surveillance after perhaps having come into contact with an active case.

Finally, the health services have already tested 1171 travelers arriving at Princess Juliana International Airport and 5558 people across the country.  _AF
