Sint Maarten: Significant drop in the number of active cases


As of October 29, 6 patients with Covid-19 have been declared cured, reducing the total number of active cases in the Dutch part to 53. The total number of confirmed cases has remained at 805 since the start of the epidemic.

The Collective Prevention Services (CPS) are still monitoring 47 people placed in isolation at their homes, all with suspicious symptoms linked to the coronavirus.

5 patients are still hospitalized at Sint Maarten Medical Center.

The total number of Covid-19-related deaths remains at 22 other people are also under surveillance after they may have come into contact with an active case.

Since the first case on the Dutch side, 1 people have been declared cured.

Finally, the health services have already tested 1194 travelers arriving at Princess Juliana International Airport and 5582 people across the country.

Health authorities recall that: "to flatten the curve and reduce the spread of the virus, we must continue to wear masks in public, practice social distancing of 2 meters, disinfect and wash hands frequently and refrain from gatherings of mass ". _AF
