Covid-19: A mandatory PCR or antigen test for unvaccinated travelers from this Tuesday, June 22, from Martinique and Guadeloupe!

Due to the current health situation, the Prefect of the Northern Islands, Serge Gouteyron has decided, from this Tuesday, June 22, 2021, to impose on people who cannot prove a complete vaccination schedule, a PCR test of less than 72 hours or less than 48 hours antigenic for all travelers coming from Guadeloupe or Martinique.

This measure complements the already existing measures for people who cannot justify a complete vaccination schedule. To know ;

• the obligation of passengers to undertake a 7-day self-isolation upon their arrival in our territories;

• the presentation of compelling reasons which must justify any travel between these departments and our territories.

People who can justify a complete vaccination schedule are not subject to any of these obligations.

The Prefect recalls that vaccination remains the best way to protect against the Covid-19 epidemic and that Galisbay vaccinodrome is open from Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 16 p.m. including for adolescents from 11 to 18 years old.

Nearly 28% of the population received a first injection, which is a favorable factor in the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic, but still insufficient to allow a return to normal life.
