The number of contaminations fell by half last week in the Dutch part: the authorities confirmed 44 new cases of covid-19 against 88 the week before. Since the start of the crisis, the cumulative number of cases has risen to 4.
On Saturday the number of active cases was 64. 61 other people were placed in isolation because they are considered contact cases. In addition, 3 people were taken care of by the Philipsburg hospital center.
Last week three deaths were deplored (against 2 the week before). A total of 71 residents of Sint Maarten have died from covid since March 2020.
