As part of “SEM your road through sport”, sports activities in the Sucrerie and Surettes residences in Concordia were offered to young people during the Easter holidays.
Supervised by the educators of the “SXM Sports for All” Association, the “SEM your road through sport” operation was a resounding success with young people. On the program of festivities: Basketball, football, rollerblading initiation and great mountain bike ride.
For the record, the operation “SEM ta route”, was designed, at the request of the President of SEMSAMAR, Mr. Wendel COCKS, to strengthen the commitment of SEMSAMAR in favor of Saint Martin's youth in general, and particularly that of its residences, in addition to the actions already undertaken by the Company through its integration company, EME, its SEMSAMAR Solidarités foundation, its scholarship to deserving students and operations such as the Forum for Careers of the Future last December .
Launched on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of SEMSAMAR in 2015, the “SEM ta route” operation first resulted in the implementation of innovative professional integration pathways, in partnership with the Pôle emploi and businesses.
In order to offer a wider panel of “routes to success”, Sem ta route has also been available since last March with sports activities offered to young and old from the 1225 families in our residences.
Other versions are already in the study phase to use as an engine for the social integration of Saint Martin's youth, the promotion of entrepreneurship, courses of excellence studies, arts and culture, etc. _AF
