The prefects of Martinique and Guadeloupe have issued a new decree containing two temporary measures applicable to the movement of people by air between  Guyana and Guadeloupe and Martinique under quarantine.

The territories of Martinique, Guadeloupe, Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin are classified in the green zone, while the health situation in Guyana remains delicate and has justified its classification in the orange zone.

Given the proximity of these areas and the health monitoring carried out by regional health agencies, the prefects of Martinique and Guadeloupe have issued a joint decree carrying two temporary measures applicable to the movement of people by air between Martinique or Guadeloupe and Guyana under the quarantine:

Travel to Martinique or Guadeloupe from Guyana is prohibited unless it is based on a compelling reason of a personal or family order, a health reason relating to emergency or a professional reason which cannot be deferred.

Anyone entering Martinique or Guadeloupe from Guyana must present a negative result of an RT-PCR test to detect the SARS Cov2 genome performed within 72 hours before the flight. She is subject to a quarantine lasting seven days upon arrival.

In the absence of a test, the passenger may be authorized by express prior decision of the prefect with territorial jurisdiction. For Guadeloupe: cellule-transport-aerien@guadeloupe.pref.gouv.fr

The passenger will then be tested on arrival in Martinique or Guadeloupe and placed in quarantine in a hotel establishment pending the result of the test.

The airline company must ensure before boarding the presentation of the result of the test of the test or the prefectoral decision of exemption as well as the declaration on honor of the reason for travel accompanied by one or more documents making it possible to justify of this pattern.

The decree is applicable until July 10, 2020 inclusive and will be revised according to the health development of the territories.
