KLM will operate three direct flights per week - Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays - between Sint Maarten and Amsterdam from October 30, the airline announced recently. The stopover in Curaçao will be canceled. Flights to and from Sint Maarten will now use the Airbus 330-200 which can accommodate 243 passengers. Seven flights to Curaçao are also scheduled for this fall with the famous Boeing 747-400 with a capacity of 408 passengers. The landings in Juliana of this plane - which can be found on YouTube - are legendary. Note that the company will also extend its service with an Airbus 330-300 to Aruba and Bonaire with an additional flight on Sunday. _EH
