The gendarmerie company of Saint-Martin - Saint-Barthélemy recently organized an operation at the “La Galiote” building located at the Marina Royale.
The soldiers of the Marigot brigade, the mobile gendarmes of the EGM 44/2 of Bellac as well as the cynophile team of the autonomous territorial brigade of Saint-Barthélemy took over the premises in order to proceed with the search of the building and the control identity of each person. This control made it possible to arrest and place in custody an individual in possession of narcotic drugs and cash.
In the afternoon, a second control was organized in the parking lot adjoining this same building. An individual was arrested and heard at the Marigot gendarmerie brigade following the detention of narcotic drugs (cocaine).
At the same time, a soldier alerted two other mobile gendarmes that an individual staggered and was covered in blood on Low Town street. The person collapsed on the ground and the soldiers took charge of him immediately by providing him with first aid, while awaiting his treatment by the emergency services, which saved his life (Source Gendarmerie).
